And I said typically I would agree with you except it was Bloomquist at the plate. You are just as well having him put a bunt down as letting him swing away. In fact you have a better chance of moving the runner with him bunting.
While your numbers in general are right, you are not taking into account who is at the plate.
Last night's call, while not the best call, would have been fine had the bunt went down the 1st base line and not to the 3rd base side.
