I didn't say either of them had experience with the 3-4 as a COORDINATOR. Both of them, especially Gibbs, have 3-4 experience as position coaches or graduate assitants for college teams.
The big knock on Gibbs with the fans in New Orleans was that his background was almost exclusively 3-4 prior to joining the team. And he was a key member of the 2005 Cowboys coaching staff transitioning them from 4-3 to 3-4.

I haven't said a word about gap assignments. I'm talking about 30 fronts vs. 40 fronts. The two ARE NOT inclusive. It's too bad the rest of us can't be up to your level of football acumen.
