Sure, but he's not Rex or half a dozen other spares... he's not a top 10 QB, but with the talent on the offense, he could do very well.
CHI was all about running the ball and defense. We'll see if Kyle can actually be an effective passer in a new offense. The talent is there (with him and around him) and he should be a good fit for what they're asking him to do.
I think he can become a 3300 yd / 24 TD / 14 INT kinda of guy with the Broncos... much of this will ride on Moreno, the rookie has crazy ability and there's no reason to think he won't be consistently productive.
They won't be asking Orton to be Cutler of 2008 with multiple games of 35+ attempts. Cutler had 10 games with 35+ attempts last year, and Denver won only 4 of them. It's just not a good formula.
Anyway, it is what it is and I think he'll be fine. Denver's success (or lack of it) in 2009, all rides on the new defense. If they're forced into a bunch of shootouts and passing a ton with no focus on the run game, then they are SOL.
And, that was going to be the case with Cutler again... so, we'll see.
