I feel you on this one. Just two weeks ago, I replaced the water pump, thermostat, belts, and radiator hoses on my 1963 Electra. We had the radiator off, and I was like well I might as well get it rodded-out, and I sent it to a shop we do some work with, well they had to replace the core on it. Ended up costing me over $400 bucks just for the radiator. In her (my 63's) defense everything was original on it, I ended up snapping three bolts in the housing on her .
