Hey, look at that water breaking out there, it's beautiful, no?" I was ecstatic with the 2001 Super Bowl win. The '03 win made me happier. The '04 win was icing on the cake. While I prefer they win every year, I won't cry myself to sleep when they don't. What the hell, in this decade I've seen three Super Bowls, two Red Sox WS titles (after 86 years of hell), and even a Celtics banner after a long drought. I've seen more sports winning than most cities get in 25 years. Hard to complain. (Although, granted, going 16-0 and then coughing up a hairball to the Giants sucked ass.)
