I can provide documentation that I wanted to draft Studebaker. I think with pass rushers there's too much analysis and not enough emphasis on productivity. If a guy gets 25 sacks in college, he's probably good enough to get some sacks in the pros.
I remember before Derrick Thomas was drafted, and there was debate about whether we'd draft him, Deion, or Broderick Thomas. The comparisons of Derrick and Broderick would discuss how Derrick got a ton of sacks and would counter with Broderick getting a ton of "quarterback hurries". Hurries? Seriously? So he was almost good enough in college?
Give me a guy who gets a ton of sacks any day. I think Studebaker could be our version of Dumervil.
