Wow. What a terrible 4th. Spent the entire afternoon in Green Hills at an impromptu wake of sorts. For all of you bashing on McNair, I just want to say that he clearly had faults but he was an authentically good guy. He had problems in his marriage, but (according to his best friends and people more close to him than I) he took care of his wife and kids financially. I knew him from his foundation and he was always a very sincere, very likable cat.
Problem was that he had two distinct personalities; the sober one and the drunk one.
Nobody I've talked to knows for sure what happened. It was either the chick (whom everyone seemed to think was a nice girl) or her ex-boyfriend (whom no one seems to know at all). My money would be on the boyfriend were it not for the fact that they found the gun practically beneath the girl's body (or so I've been told).
The bottom line is that McNair will be missed by a lot of people and, regardless of what he was, he didn't deserve this.
PS: Ms. memyselfandi is kinda nuts, I think.
