Dane, there are men who spend hours and hours with their kids bullying them, belittling them, humiliating them, abusing them. That is a horrible father. They may never be gone or distracted but their sheer presence is of no use to their kids.

One who is gone all the time or is away and busy with things that are benefiting the family are not necessarily horrible fathers IF the time they spend with the kids is quality time when they are there.

I don't see where McNair has ever been accused of being anything but a good father and that is why this is so shocking. When he was busy with his career or charity is not when he got in trouble.

Bottom line, Whitlock doesn't have kids does he? So I don't really take his view as very credible on this topic until he does.
