As tempting as it is to envy a death without pain, there's something that seems very unfair and unsatisfying about dying without knowing about it. It would seem to be a life incomplete, and I don't think I'd want that fate.

I'm the opposite. The idea that people who are drowning, or falling, or crashing, shot, etc. and have the conscience thought of knowing what is going to happen is one of the most terrifying and lonely thoughts imaginable.
