And Stanley and Iris starts off as a statement about the working class and educational opportunity. It's a nice little picture, and then, the bottom falls out and you realize you watched a movie that stung: the only reason there is such thing as working class is to test you to see if you can get out of it, and the only way you get out of it is by making a million dollars from an invention you sell to Ford and then you go live in the suburbs. Now isn't that hopeful!
