I really doubt he rejected the chiefs. Players seem to like Pioli. I mean, it's not like he had to negotiate a contract with Carl Petersen whom players knew was a cheapass. Playing for Haley, while he may be a hardass at least isn't a no-winning loser slouch like Sperm Edwards.
