As I just said in another thread, you want a long-range plan to build a juggernaut, not a flash-in-the-pan like the '02 Bucs and Raiders. Pioli could've kept Tony G and made some other moves (e.g. vet QB, big-name FA) to make this a .500 season and make Pioli look good. Of course, it probably would've just delayed the rebuilding of the organization by a season or two.
