I've always believed a strong running game puts you in a better position to win games. It wears out the opposing defense, and keeps your defense fresh in the 4th quarter.
In the Titans game, Sanchez had an outstanding first drive. After that, he scored two TDs on fumbles in Jets' field goal range and mostly did nothing. It makes the job much easier for a QB when the team is in a run-first, play good defense mode.

But NY runs it more than KC (104 to 84) and they have 3 rushing TD's compared to KC's 0. It also helps their philosophy by having a solid defense as well.

I am not dismissing the run game, or the defense, but to dismiss what he has done because they are playing great defense and sticking to running the ball is denying the fact that he has been making plays.
The fact that they have stuck to the running game has put then in a lot of third and long situations, and he has been making good decisions, making great throws, and simply made plays to keep drives alive and get points on the board.
