I went with 81-90%. Call it 83.
I like:
1. He holds players accountable. You don't perform, you are going to be gone.
2. He works on problems. Callahan is a serious upgrade at RT. We had some success in running that direction today. Pass protection was better, no goodt but better than last week. Penalties were down this week.
3. Players give a full game effort.
4. His game plans gave us the best chance of being competitive against far superior teams in the Giants and Baltimore. We were not competitive, but I think the game plans gave us a chance.
5. I have no problem with canning Gailey. Better to get a headstart on installing the real offense than to waste a year in an offense we won't be using long term.
6. Takes the blame for his own failures.
Things I don't like:
1. Some of the situational play calls leave me scratching my head. That delay draw to LJ. Doesn't he know that LJ needs 3 or 4 strides to get going? Needs more plays past the sticks on 3rd down. More first down passing. Some intermediate pass routes. Some of this is a trade off on 4 above, but I think there is room for improvement here.
2. Whatever hand he played in not bringing in more OL talent.
3. Whatever role he played in going Cassel over Sanchez.
Things that cause me to give him a higher grade:
1, These aren't very good players. He isn't running the schemes that he'd because of that. I'll give him a couple of years.
