Whitlock is otherwise a great writer and I've enjoyed plenty of his columns over the years. Unfortunately he has an ego and believes the GM should kiss his ass. When he doesn't get his way, his columns often become childish rants. A lot of successful fat guys are like this, it tends to come from insecurity.
