Vermeil did the same thing, and I think Edwards did too. When you break it down this way, it's more manageable to review and chart success without throwing too much emphasis into one game or having to wait for the whole season to end. Mostly it's about morale and effort. You don't want your team to start resting on their laurels if they are 4-0 or 8-0, you want to tell them they are 0-0 again. Also if you are 0-4 you want to be able to tell your team they get a chance for a fresh start.
