I think Sanchez and Cassel are really similar in overall ability. I think both will be good, not great. The difference is Cassel was a second... and Sanchez was a first.
Now, I will admit that the Chiefs taking Tyson Jackson with that pick... made me kinda wish they had just drafted Sanchez....
That said, so long as Tyson Jackson can be a good player at 3-4 DE, then I think trading for Cassel was the smart move.
Cassel has more yards per game, a better passer rating, is on a much worse team, has played better defenses, and had his offense changed the last week of the preseason.... the difference is that Sanchez has a good offensive line, better playmakers, and a much better defense.
