The whole settling for what's easier than what's better is one of the reasons the Chiefs are in this pickle. Waiting until future seasons to implement the 3-4 if that's what Pioli sees as the teams future is asinine. It's repeating the same old mistakes of why the team is where it is today.
There is no better season than now to start converting to a 3-4 if that's where the team is going.

I'm not saying they are wrong to force it, though I think they could have transitioned to it over time smoother, much like the Patriots did when Hoodie took over there.
I am only pointing out how it rendered the last couple of drafts meaningless.
As for Morph's post, Dorsey would have been the foundation, but guys like Tank, Turk (who should have been a DT rather than a DE, as he was used last year) and Tamba would have been solid pieces in a D-Line rotation, thus building blocks for a solid 43.
