Do you even make HALF of that being a full time teacher?
Hey, congratulations that you are an accomplished student/teacher/intellectual...you make 1/2 as much as a coked out party animal who works twice a week getting ****ed up and taking home really hot, really drunk, really ****ed up blonde chicks.
Now...me...I don't do that whole scene...nor will I be a bartender the rest of my life...but the ones who are actually good and people savvy...can easily make 6 figures every year...

See here's the funny thing: You keep projecting everything from the lens of a perpetual 17 year old.
Life isn't
Cocktail, and not everyone is motivated by money.
Hell, my first year as a GA in Grad School I made 7800 ****ing dollars. For the
entire year. But it didn't bother me, I was happy doing what I wanted to do. And you know what? It paid for Grad School that would have cost 20K+ a year.
What you don't mention is that said bartender is probably going to be in and out of rehab for the rest of his life or ****ing dead of an overdose.
Here's a little tip about people who live like that: they're not happy. I know because I've known people like that. Hell, I went to high school with a guy who was a "mixologist". Recently got booted from
Survivor. They're pretty much all bullshit artists who are a mile long and an inch deep.
Most people grow out of the frat boy stage. Good luck to you in your continued development.
