Granted, that wasn't a particularly good game to watch. There were a few nice moves by Welker and one nice pass on the Buc TD but, other than that, it was pretty fugly.
Everyone raved about how much better the "pitch" was this year. If that was good, I'd hate to see bad. The Pats and Bucs were slipping around out there like they were pudding-wrestling strippers... and that was with their longer cleats on.
And they can say what they will about "American football", but soccer is the most boring f**king game I've ever seen. A bunch of guys kicking a ball around on a giant field for an hour, while the crowd screams lustily for no reason. Occasionally one of them will kick another player, resulting in that player flopping like they'd been shot with a high-powered rifle, and the ref pulling out a colored card. A few boring-ass hours later, it ends, maybe 1-0, maybe 2-1. Thrilling. It's like hockey, without the fights to entertain you.
