I remember vividly watching CNN or some news network a month or so before 9/11 and Interpol raised the flag on a potential terrorist attack happening soon.
I find it hard to believe we planned the whole thing. But I could see us turning our back knowing something was coming. Helped us get into wars that we wanted to begin with.

I saw something similar. Only it implied that the government knew something was coming, but didn't know where exactly. I believe they were already trying to track down a couple of the hijackers, but they were too late.
No doubt though, they drug their feet. I don't think they realized it would be this huge.
