There are plenty of great foods you can still eat that aren't bread. Foods that don't raise your blood sugar higher and faster than table sugar like wheat does. You can eat FAT. Fat is tasty, and it's good for you.
Not only that, but eating things that spike your blood sugar only prevent your body from burning fat. Your body absolutely will not burn fat if your insulin is spiked up to deal with a higher blood sugar. You're only hurting yourself.

That sounds nice in theory problem is people who try to go cold turkey end up getting pissed off that they can't eat anything and stop dieting.
