That is not the fault of the diet. That's the fault of the dieter and our society. Look at the shit we're surrounded by when we go to the grocery store.
There's an entire aisle dedicated to snack foods that have no value whatsoever except extra calories.
What's the #1 or 2 ingredient in most breads? High fructose corn syrup.
When you go to a restaurant, they give you portions big enough for two people. And then they offer you dessert! You don't need dessert -- do you know how many calories you just ate???
It's hard to resist, especially when these foods that provide no nutritional value to anyone except Michael Phelps also make themselves addictive.
A true low carb, high fat diet will always leave you feeling full enough that you don't want to eat more. I think a large problem with the lower carb diets is that they work, and then people get lazy and go back to their old eating habits. It's easier to grab a bag of potato chips for a snack than it is to eat healthy. That's just the nature of our society.
