Hindsight is always 20/20, but there are just some really weird things about decisions made that struck me.

First, Carolina had no reason to use a timeout on the previous drive with over 3 and a half minutes left. That cost them in the end.

Second, Carolina didn't really have to go onside kick when they did. They had the option to kick it deep and still get a chance...although I can see the argument for going onsides there.

I don't understand why Miami didn't take a shot at the 46 yard field goal. And if they weren't going to do that, then actually go for the first down with play-action, a toss sweep, at least SOMETHING other than a fullback slam. For all the talk about the risk of a field goal for giving Carolina good field position, it's only a 10 yard difference at that point and they do have a good kicker.

I don't know, maybe I'm way off base but it just seemed strange to me.
