Your friend was accurate. While tailgating I kept thinking I should've worn my white Chiefs away jersey because there were so many Steeler fans in the parking lot. When I got up to my seat, I actually took about 15 minutes to estimate the ratio of Chief:Steeler fans...

I'll also confirm what your friend said about the noise: even with the huge number of empty seat and the huge number of terrible towels, Arrowhead got LOUD. When the Chiefs showed in the 4th quarter that they weren't going to give up, Arrowhead got "headache" loud when the Steelers had the ball. Not nearly 116 decibels, but proudly loud, and I think the Chiefs D fed off that a little.
I am tired, voiceless, and happy today.
