You won't lose as much as you think you will. I'm in the process of cutting 10 lbs of muscle, so I'm eating 1200 cals per day, going into each workout in a fasted state and not eating for at least 2 hours after I finish my workout. I still lift 90% of what I was lifting before. I can still hit the max numbers, I just can't maintain them as long as I used to.

If there are any extreme ectomorphs reading this, try the Bill Star 5x5 workout or HST. It dumps the classic splits you'll see in muscle mags, and uses the progressive load theory while focusing on compound exercises. Both of those routines are by far superior to any split programs I've ever used.

Yeah, the 5x5 is the shit. I used a modified version of the 5x5 to pack on the muscle and it really works wonders for those of us that have trouble putting on mass.
