And this is exactly why we're not taking a QB with our first pick.
All of the rest of the conversation I don't care about, we aren't taking a QB with our first pick in the draft, or either of our 2nds. Pioli is going to give Cassel more than 1 season to sink or swim.
And trading a first for Trent Green paid off.

AJ Smith was John Butler's right hand man in both Buffalo and San Diego, so I imagine the Brees was his guy to some extent.
