If you are irritated, try sending NBC a friendly little note offering tips and constructive criticism. I dropped them this line just now:
Quote:
Your decision to refuse to air almost all events live despite the fact that these olympics are in North America, is unbelievably idiotic. You have at least 3 channels to choose from!
I'm sure some people want to see these pre-packaged tape-delayed events with fluff pieces after they get home from work. Fine, show that on NBC, but for the love of God, show everything else live as it happens on the other channels you have available!
There is also no excuse whatsoever for restricting online content. You think that people who see an event online during the day wont turn on the olympics later that evening? This was one of the few bright spots during Beijing and you snuffed it out for no apparent reason. Dont you realize you have to be a dedicated fan in the first place to even want to watch events online in the day, of course they will tune in later that night, you idiots!
You fools have proven yourselves unworthy of showcasing this great event. Networks in Canada and Europe handle this so much better than you folks that its rediculous.
In closing, please do not bid for the olympics after 2012. You have failed, it is time to give another network a chance to clean up after your mess.
