Yeah, prior to the trade we heard all about how Cassel compares favorably to Favre, Elway, Montana, the computerized amalgamation of all three, etc.
And guess what? Cassel is still average, at best. He's not the answer.
If he weren't, he'd still be in NE, an organization that has shown a penchant to be calculating and walk when it comes to vet. players. Can you imagine the motherload that Brady would have brought in a trade? And why not do that, if you have a younger, more athletic QB ready to come in and take control?
