I'm not sure that's entirely accurate. It's hard to tell whether or not he can play the position when he can never stay on the field. When he has played, he's looked okay at times and he's looked horrible at times.

I think he's falling into the 2nd string quarterback category where people remember fondly, instead of realistically. The more attention people pay to the starter, the more the 2nd qb on the roster changes from scrub to legend-in-waiting.
