Don't limit yourself to the "container" varieties in pots.
Anything will grow in a container if you fertilize and water enough. Buy a few big whiskey barrels or clay pots and plant any beefy tomato you want.
Skip Towne posted this same question last year and I posted that I'd never use a topsy turvy thingy even if it was the only option. [Insert tree hugger justification here.]
