A single pig just doesn't grow as well. Old timers say it's because they eat more when they feel like there is competition for food. I'll never raise a single pig again. Having the chores every day, might as well have 6-10 if you're going to have 1. If it's' not gaining, it could be wormy, give it a dose of ivomec if you're not eating it for a month or so.
He was delicious though.
It doesn't have to be fed out to 220lbs to roast on a spit or a ground pit....
