The reason Belichick was in Florida was to evaluate the 9 players expected to be drafted in the upcoming draft. Other than that, Bill has a casual friendship with Urban Meyer and he does in fact, study MANY offenses different than his own -- not necessarily implementing their concepts, but to gain an understanding of them.

Seriously dude, you cannot know anything about football if you seriously believe your above statement to be true.

And Tim Tebow to Denver was the worst pick in the first round of the draft. Didn't you guys draft a running back last year???

Eric Berry is the best player in the draft this year and he will not take long to prove it. I had the pleasure of watching him on Saturdays for 3 years and whatever praise that you have heard is only the beginning.

You think you got a great player, but this kid is one of the best football players to ever live. You have no idea what you are getting in this kid. And he's squeaky clean off-the-field. The nicest guy you will ever meet.

McDaniels when media questions if Tebow is really a good fit in his system:

Quote:
"We stole a lot of their (Florida's) plays two or three years ago, maybe three or four years ago. They run a lot of different things. They ask their QB to do a lot.... What Tim's been asked to do mentally, there has been a lot of burden on him, same thing here. What he's been asked to do in terms of reading defenses and progressions is similar to what he is going to have to do in the NFL. He's been very well coached. I have a great deal of respect for Coach Meyer, have a good relationship with him, and have known him for a long time."
Also there is this...
Quote:
Nix: The mutual admiration began in 2005 when Belichick visited Florida to study Meyer's spread offense. In turn, Meyer has tried to stress the same accountability and ownership Belichick demands from the Patriots.

Meyer: He even made the comment to me that the leadership he has at New England is all positive. Tom Brady and some of these great players are the hardest working guys on the team. Some programs are stuck with their best players, or their leaders, [being] the guys that don't believe in work ethic and don't believe in living right off the field. That's not by accident. That's the way they select their players.
