Not too many, Mr. DonTellMeShowMe. It depends, though. Some people get to post threads right away while others have to wait until they amass 5000 posts or so. Usually, if you demonstrate that you are a reasonable, intelligent person, the mods will give you thread-starting privileges upon request. The best way to accomplish that is to PM Mr. Bob Dole. Just keep in mind that his PM doesn't work all the time due to the number of PMs he receives, so it's best to PM him 10 or 12 times. That way he won't miss your request.
