His premise is off, IMO.
Pioli didn't bring over this operation because he's a dictator with insecurity issues, he brought it over because he bought into the Patriot propaganda model so deeply that he has no critical thinking ability wrt: its strengths and weaknesses.
That's why this is such a paint-by-numbers approach.
