Man, that long uncut version really gives an idea of what's going on. You have a bunch of people all crowding around, the a-hole shooting the video interrogating the cop and tossing out statements about what he should be doing like he's some kind of lawyer, all the while saying that "Ah Hell yeah, I seen the whole thing" when he didn't, he only saw anything because stupid teenager #1 was making noise drawing attention.
Cop is in a no-win situation. I think he did what he had to do. Notice how he never swears, never screams, maintains calm when all that shit is swirling around him. That's a good cop. He could have gone total nuts on everyone... |
I agree.
He probably would've prefered doing a leg sweep and taking her to the ground. But with people getting closer, and obviously taking her side, I know I wouldn't feel comfortable on the ground with no back up. Gun exposed to crazy teen #2 and head down behind a car, I'd stay on my feet.
