It may seem there are more injuries, but its not true in even the least little bit. Some of the injuries have been overblown because of their impact in a game which means nothing. Pre-season games are still needed for teams to hone their skills, assess the younger talent and any number of other things.
A longer season will make the NFL record book irrelevant again while rolling up injuries. I'd rather see the starters on the sidelines of two pre-season games then having them on crutches on the sidelines watching the playoffs.

It does when they're forced to pay full price for the games. That's my biggest complaint by far.
