I loved Shanahan but did you see the defenses he trotted out there for his last 2 1/2 years in Denver? Did you see how quickly McDaniels turned that defense around? And the reports coming out of camp is that the defense should be even better this year.

The defense for 10 games in 2009 was every bit as bad as they were in 2007 and 2008. Let's not get too caught up in the magic of the first 6 for that side of the ball.
And, I'm all for you being a flag waving fan, but c'mon... none of those guys above has done anything yet. You're setting yourself up for unrealistic expectations this season and you're not going to enjoy the games as much.
I'm learned over time to temper my enthusiasm a bit... no matter what things look like.
