Dude, the guy took a shit team and re-made it in one year. He took a rookie QB that had only started 16 games in college and made him the starter from day one.
The team had its ups and downs last year but hit a stride late in the year and rode it all the way to the AFC Championship game. If Brian Schottemheimer wouldn't have shit his pants in the second half, the Jets would have been in the Super Bowl.
Barring injuries, the Jets will be a VERY good team in 2010 and in years to come. They're drafting well and blending veterans with young players nicely.
The last thing I'd call Rex Ryan is a buffoon. Those words are reserved for guys like Gunther and Herm.
