That's the thing. Weis' offense is a horizontal offense, at least it was when he was with the Patriots. I don't have a problem with the CHiefs not throwing deep much. But he does need to have at least the threat of throwing deep there. And to do well horizontally, you have to be a surgeon in terms of getting rid of that ball lightning quick and knowing where to go before the ball is snapped. Unless something drastic changes, Cassel is not that guy.
