I cannot imagine anyone on this board thinking that the possible signing of T-Rich will bring back the glory days of Roaf, Shields, Green, Holmes or any other player that helped the Chiefs attain the 40 point games. If they do, they are just plain dumb.
The Chiefs THIS year, have through trial and very many errors, stumbled onto the fact that they can run the ball decently. Whether that carries into the regular season remains to be seen. If so, it will return full circle to the Marty era, where T-Rich thrived. He would be a huge upgrade to what we have. Sure, keep one of the FB's to learn behind one of the games best FB's.
The Chiefs this year will not return to the Vermeil era of pass it out but, they will return to the philoshophy of our 63 million dollar QB not attempting to win the game, just take care of the ball. Let the ball carriers do their thing and let the defense keep it close. Sad, but that is the way it appears to be.
T-Rich may be old, but he could step in for us as a great lead blocker and most importantly, a locker room leader.
