The Chiefs THIS year, have through trial and very many errors, stumbled onto the fact that they can run the ball decently. Whether that carries into the regular season remains to be seen. If so, it will return full circle to the Marty era, where T-Rich thrived. He would be a huge upgrade to what we have. Sure, keep one of the FB's to learn behind one of the games best FB's.
The Chiefs this year will not return to the Vermeil era of pass it out but, they will return to the philoshophy of our 63 million dollar QB not attempting to win the game, just take care of the ball. Let the ball carriers do their thing and let the defense keep it close. Sad, but that is the way it appears to be.
T-Rich may be old, but he could step in for us as a great lead blocker and most importantly, a locker room leader.

You're still taking me far too literally. TRich signifies the last time the Chiefs offense could score at will. This is why he's remembered so fondly - despite the fact he's nearly 40 years old. Clearly, TRich has been a very good lead blocker in his career. But he's not coming back to KC as a player.
