I don't think it's really all that different. It's a rivalry. I don't think Sox fans hate the Yankees any less than Missouri fans hate KU fans, and I don't think tehre's any more or less respect involved. OU fans hate UT just as much as Mizzou hates KU. I don't know why you're suprised that Missouri fans or K State fans crack on KU on the radio or message boards. First of all, it's probably funny for them to see KU fans get so emotional about it, like kicking over an anthill. Secondly, it's not like KU fans don't call in shows or post on message boards talking junk. You make it seem like KU fans are just sitting there minding their own business, just waving little KU flags and saying, "Let's go! May the best team win!" It's a two way street.
