Once the game was over, he was done. It is pretty apparent Mark Donovan will be taking over in the future at that role, but in the mean time Clark is keeping the seat warm. I really don't think there is to much more to the story other than it was just time for Thum to retire. He was the last piece to the Peterson era, but a very loyal Hunt foot solider.
