Whitlock made a name for himself, gained national attention, and still has a job today because of the issue of race. Other than that, he either states the obvious in a negative connotation, or chooses a controversial topic, and takes the side of said topic, that would stir the most shit. It's so ridiculously transparent, and nauseatingly repetitive.
