that's just it ... what he needs to be is irrelevant. We want a QB that can carry the team on his back, when needed. If Cassel is unable to do that then we need to keep looking for our future QB.
This idea that you can find a way to win with a sub par player at any position is just an excuse for bad talent acquisition. It's why Martyball ticked me off so much ... why handcuff yourself voluntarily?
