It's a stupid decision in terms of money because he'll never get that back. In all likelihood, he's going to retire from the NFL at age X either way and by staying in school an extra year he loses 1 years' salary even if he doesn't fall back in the draft and lose ground on his first contract.
But it's his decision to make and he'll never get his senior year of college back either. So if he understands how much this last lap around the campus is going to cost him, it's his decision to make and maybe it's the right "happiness" decision for him (as opposed to financial decision). Does anyone know if he has a serious girlfriend at Stanford?
