I've got mixed feelings on this. I'm thinking it will do more harm than good. They're essentially increasing the variance of speed of the vehicles on the highway. And I really question whether that's a good idea. Semis and crappy cars aren't going to be cruising along at 75-80 with the rest of the cars. This is going to cause the impatient assholes to drive even worse than they do now. Having some people going 80+, and others going 55-60, makes it that much harder for idiot drivers to determine how quickly they're approaching another vehicle. It will probably raise fatality rates, which will in turn cause our stupid government to try and implement more driving regulations.
I feel old.

The speed limit's been 75 on the interstate highways in the Dakotas, Montana, and parts of Nebraska for years.
I only wish the rest of the fly-over states would get with the program (Iowa, I'm looking at you)
