Sproles and Floyd are not a loss for them. Sproles' tread is gone. Floyd is a talented receiver, but Philip Rivers doesn't need him to throw for 5,000 yards.

The Chargers won't pay the premium for Weddle because they feel as if Bob Sanders is a capable enough backup. Weddle has stated that he's going to the highest bidder and will not consider a "Hometown discount" to stay with the Chargers.
True, Sproles isn't much of an RB (although you could have said the same about Matthews in his rookie season). However, Sproles is a very good returner and a decent third down back.
As for the passing game, luckily the Chiefs' strength lies more in defending the pass than the run.
