Seriously, I feel badly for all fans of the 20 or so teams that aren't playing on a level playing field. Baseball's economics suck and are completely unfair, and it's a damned shame. It detracts from the satisfaction of having a great team or winning the WS, in my opinion, when more than half the rest of the league are crippled by salary limitations.

I remember a few years ago when the Yankees INFIELD (Jeter, A-Rod, Giambi and whoever at 2nd, Soriano maybe), was paid more than the ENTIRE Tampa Bay Devil Rays team. Ridiculous. And the Red Sox payroll is always 2nd or 3rd in the league.
